Paul Dabrowski 94 of Clifton died Saturday, August 11, 2018. Born in Podlaski, Poland, he came to the US after World War II and settled in the Bronx, NY. Paul then resided in Dumont, NJ and Kensington, CT before moving to Clifton two years ago. He is a Polish Army Veteran of World War II and a Past Commander of the Haller Post 111 Polish Veterans Assn. in New Britain, CT. Paul was employed as a wire drawer for the Washburn Wire Co. in NYC for 35 years prior to his retirement. He is a former Shop Steward for the Steel Workers Union in NYC. Paul is predeceased by two wives, Frances Kearns and Bronia Dabrowski, by a son, Paul, by a brother, Bronic, and by a sister, Zofia Colucci. He is survived by three daughters, Mary Dabrowski-Scotti and husband, Andy Gluss of Hawthorne, NY, Teresa Reich and husband, Paul of Clifton and Frances Mc Conville and husband James of Suffern, NY, by 8 grandchildren, Brian, P.J., and Katie Dabrowski, Nick Scotti, Kelly Vallone, Jeanne Niewohner, James and Mark Mc Conville and by 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will begin 9:15AM Tuesday at Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Road, Clifton, NJ with a 10AM Mass at St. Clare RC Church. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories Mausoleum in Washington Twsp. Visiting hours are Monday 4-8PM. Memorial donations to your local Veterans organization will be appreciated as an alternative to flowers.
