Obituary Condolences

Eva Nora, 90, of Kill Devil Hills, NC, formerly of Hawthorne, NJ and Waldwick, NJ, died on June 29, 2014 at Spring Arbor of The Outer Banks.
Born in South Williamsport, PA, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Violetta Hill. Mrs. Hogan retired as a public school teacher. She was a member of the Mighty Wind United Methodist Church, past president of the Elks Auxiliary #1569 and had a passion for the traveling the world. Mrs. Hogan was the widow of George Parkinson Ackerman and Clarence Ensign Hogan.
Nora is survived by two daughters, Nora Ann Lee of Elizabeth City, and Iris Jane Enberg of Nags Head; a son, George Ray Ackerman of Mahwah, NJ; one sister, Rae Louise Vollinger of Spring Hill, FL; two stepchildren, Herbert Hogan and Roy Hogan; twenty-one grandchildren, and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by a daughter, Phyllis Arlene Ackerman; two stepchildren, Stanley Hogan and Faith Dougherty; and three sisters, Pauline Day, Mary Estelle Newkirk, and Violetta May Hill.
A memorial service will be held at Spring Arbor of The Outer Banks on Sunday, July 20th at 2 PM. A visitation will be held at Moore's Home for Funerals in Wayne, NJ on Friday, July 11th from 4-9 PM. A graveside service followed by burial will take place Saturday, July 12th at 11 AM at Laurel Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Mighty Winds United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1973, Nags Head, NC 27959.
