Richard J., 70, of West Paterson, departed this earth on October 1, 2016. Born in Totowa, NJ he was a Passaic Valley High School graduate and held a degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Richie owned and operated his body shop, CAR MART, in Totowa for over thirty years before he entered the finance business with Hillsboro Financial Associates, which he operated until his retirement. He was a loving and devoted husband to Phyllis (nee Henis) for over forty eight years and her partner in life for over fifty five years. He was a loving father to Richard M. DiBrino, Brian J. DiBrino, Matthew D. DiBrino and a father figure to anyone that ever needed him. Loving uncle to Keith DiBrino and his son Andrew DiBrino of Tualitin, Oregon. Richie doted on his granddaughters Ellie Rose and Carly Ann DiBrino and his daughter-in-law Dawn DiBrino of Kinnelon. He was the adored son-in-law of Dolores Henis of Lanoka Harbor, NJ. Richie was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Ethel DiBrino and his brother Andy DiBrino. Richie split his time between West Paterson and Lanoka Harbor, where he leaves many dearly loved family and friends, and of course, his mistress, his boat, the "Moon Child". Summers were spent with family and friends on the Moon Child enjoying his company and the love that he spread to so many people. He could also be found waiting for one of his cheapskate friends to buy him a drink at the local watering hole. He was always there to lend a helping hand and his heart could be felt by all as he was the most caring and selfless man the the world could have asked for. Richie was one of the strongest men and he fought his battle until the end. He did it his way and continued to do so until his untimely departure. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made in Richie's name to , 252 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 A celebration of Richie's life will be held on Wednesday, October 5th at The Brownstone, 351 West Broadway, Paterson, NJ at 2:00 PM.
