OAK RIDGE — Services were held for David A. Whalen, 82, of Brick, who died on Saturday, October 29, 2016. He was the father of Coleen Shupe of this community.
Born in Holyoke, Mass., Mr. Whalen lived in North Jersey and then in Broadkill Beach, Del., before moving to Brick two years ago. He was a teacher and coach at Parsippany Hills High School for more than 35 years. Also, he was an adjunct professor at County College of Morris.
Services were Saturday at the Colonial Funeral Home, Brick.
Mr. Whalen also is survived by his other daughters, Chiara Bubin of Acton, Mass., and Kim Whalen of Wall; his brother, Maurice Whalen; and his grandchildren, William, Amelia, Cory, Daniel, and Jimmy.
