John Panico Obituary

PANICO - John A. of Clifton on September 25, 2002, after a long-term illness. A private graveside service was held by his family on Monday, September 30, 2002 at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. John was a lifetime resident of Clifton. He was a 1959 graduate of Clifton High School where he was on the Clifton Track team and a member of Clifton's "Fighting" Mustangs football team under his role model, mentor, and friend, Coach Joseph Grecco. During those years, John earned the "Team Sparkplug" award for his outstanding "Fighting Mustang" spirit. For 20 years, John was a successful businessman and owner of the Broadstreet News Delivery Service in Clifton. For 10 years, John coached the Jr. Mustang football team, he also served as Commisioner on the Clifton Board of Education for three years. He was an accomplished and talented artist. He was a dedicated husband and remained a devoted father to his three daughters, Lisa, Adrienne and Diedre. John is also survived by a loving and caring sister and brother-in-law, Joy and Vito Caruso. John is in God's care and at peace at last. Arrangements by Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton.
