Elizabeth Price Obituary

Elizabeth V. Price Died - Jan. 2, 2014 SHELBYVILLE, KY - Elizabeth V. Price of Shelbyville, KY, was welcomed by her Lord into heaven and was reunited with her husband Sylvester H. Price on January 2, 2014, at the age of 93 years young. A native of Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ella and William McEwan, Jr. Mrs. Price was an accomplished young woman, excelling in swimming, canoeing, archery, field hockey and sharpshooting. She loved animals and music. She was also a very talented painter. Her homes displayed many of her beautiful bucolic canvases. Mrs. Price was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. Her survivors include her sons and their spouses-Samuel and Mary Porter-Price of Canterbury, CT David and Betty Price, Stephen and Diane Price of Shelbyville, KY and Daniel and Diana Price of New Albany, IN; her daughters and their spouses Elizabeth and Richard Pershall of Elverson, PA, and Gail and Bernard Fitzgerald of Greer, SC. Mom-Mom had twenty-six grandchildren and thirty-nine great grandchildren. Her daughter Lois Price Meade predeceased her. Her funeral was held in Shelbyville, KY. Interment was in the Lebanon National Cemetery in Lebanon, KY. Donations in her memory may be made to The Gideons International, P. 0. Box 194, Shelbyville, KY 40066.
