Jason Vincent Obituary

Jason Andrew Vincent 1974 - 2020
Griswold - Jason Andrew Vincent, a caring son, brother, uncle, community leader and friend, left this world unexpectedly on December 30, 2020, at age 46.
Jason was born on January 17, 1974. He was the first-born of four children of Lawrence and Danielle Vincent of Moosup, CT. After graduating from Plainfield High School in 1992, Jason graduated from Central Connecticut State University.
Jason leaves behind his wife Jennifer Vincent, labradoodles Finnegan and Maxine and cat Sox of Griswold, CT.
He will forever hold a place in the hearts of his friends and coworkers along with his siblings, sister Jessica Wolak, her husband Michael Wolak and their children Sarah and Cade Wolak of Plainfield, CT; his sister Jamie Goulas, her husband Adam Goulas and their children Jacob Vincent Goulas, Hunter Goulas, Natalie Goulas and Beau Vincent Goulas of Sterling, CT; and brother Benjamin Vincent, his wife Erin Vincent and their child Harrison Vincent of Mystic, CT as well as a crowd of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jason was a shareholder at Epicure Brewing. Epicure Brewing was one of his passions and lifelong dream.
Jason was also the President at Norwich Community Development Corporation (NCDC).
He was involved in economic development and planning for over two decades in the public and private sectors. He had been involved in the Connecticut land use realm as a policy maker, plan implementer and enforcement agent.
During his career, Jason worked for the towns of Plainfield, Stonington and Norwich.
Jason loved helping small business owners achieve their vision and goals. He gave his all to every community he worked in. He was a visionary with an innate ability to bring a project to fruition.
You may not have known Jason but he made every community he was involved with better.
Jason will be deeply missed by many. He was considered so many things - reliable friend, dedicated, funny, fair, passionate, lover of history, generous, motivating, humble, brilliant mind, and immeasurable talent.
Arrangements have been made for a private service. Jason's remains will go to a family plot in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Danielson, CT. No public services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Jason's honor to the Norwich Historical Society, https://www.norwichhistoricalsociety.org.

Jason, my brother tony and I all grew up together. We used to play basketball and other sports together he was a part of our band of friends and we both will miss him very much. Our lives all went separate ways as we grew up and moved on in our lives but I always considered him a great friend. All can say is I will Pray for him his family and I know he is in heaven supporting the community up there and is finally home. My heart goes out to the Vincent family and his wife. I will miss him dearly. God bless you all.

I have known Jason since we were at St. John's School together in Plainfield. He was always one step ahead of us - and even the nuns! - in all ways. In high school, he always someone you could count on to do the right thing. As time grew, he was always there to say Hello to an old friend at reunions, and seemed genuinely grateful to have our old connections. We have so many fun memories with Jason! I will miss him very much. My heart breaks for the Vincent family & Jenny. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers - and that his life touched so many in such a positive way that can never be measured.
