Roger "Gus" V. Vincent 1931 - 2021
Brooklyn - Roger "Gus" V. Vincent, 89, passed away at his home in Brooklyn, CT on Feb 20, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 19, 1931 to the late Mary (Korab) and Leo Vincent. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Rachel B. (Pellerin) Vincent. They were married on March 25, 1966.
Roger was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He served in the U.S. Army and upon his honorable discharge went on to work at Pervel Industries for 25 years. He later worked as an outside electrician until his retirement from Electric Boat in Groton. He was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking and crossword puzzles.
In addition to his wife, Rachel, he is survived by his four sons Bruce (Kathi) Clark of Sprague, Tim (Christine) Clark of Brooklyn, Peter (Lison) Clark of Sterling, and Dale (Kristine) Clark of Coventry, as well as his grandchildren David, Heather, Brittany, Alec and Andrew, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson, Matthew Clark, and his two sisters, Phoebe Spencer and Barbara Warren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Northeastern CT or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Such a sweet man with intelligence and patience that I admired. A true and loyal friend to my parents for over 60 years. I will remember "Gus" fondly forever. A man whose favorite singer was Mel Torme. My love to Rachel and family.
