Peter H. Stanis

Peter H. Stanis June 29, 1951 - October 1, 2010 Lebanon - Peter H. Stanis, 59, of Camp Mooween Rd. died Friday, October 1, 2010 at his home in Lebanon. He was born in Waterbury on June 29, 1951 son of the late George W. Stanis and Loretta (Daley) Stanis of Watertown. Peter worked for many years as a driver and as a security guard at Lebanon Pines in Lebanon where he was respected and well loved. He also worked for a longtime as a cook at the Salvation Army in Hartford. Peter was predeceased by his father George Stanis Sr. and his older brother George Stanis Jr. He is survived by his mother Loretta Stanis of Watertown his siblings, Judith Schnieder of Port Jervis, NY, Thomas Stanis of Watertown, Kevin Stanis of Seymour, Keith Stanis of North Carolina and Lisa Ann Miner of Thomaston, and several nieces and nephews A memorial Funeral Service will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 145 Buckingham St. Oakville, on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 9:00am. Interment will be private and at the convenience of Pete's family. Arrangements were assisted by the Cummings - Gagne Funeral Home, Norwich.
