MARILYN REYNOLDS 1946 - 2016
Moosup - A Mom, Yaya, and friend passed away on Black Friday. Marilyn Reynolds, 70, passed Friday, November 25, 2016, surrounded by love from her family at Backus Hospital. She was born on September 30, 1946, daughter of the late Matthew Piasecki and Aurore Rainville. She grew up in Moosup, and graduated from Plainfield schools. She met the love of her life, Charlie Reynolds, at 16, married him at 19, and stayed married to him for 50 years. She was a homemaker, having one child and then taking care of her parents when they became ill. She was devoted to her family and helped to take care of her grandchildren. She loved her family, moose and her beloved Patriots.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Reynolds Jr, whom she married on April 16, 1966; one daughter, Marnie Reynolds-Bourque and her husband Ron Bourque Jr, of Sterling. She also leaves behind a grandson, Ronnie Bourque III, his significant other Stephanie Phillips, and a granddaughter Rhianna Bourque. She also leaves a sister in law Martha Gencarelli, and her husband Julian Gencarelli, of Ocala, Florida, a nephew Scott Gencarelli and his wife Norrita Gencarelli of Ocala, Florida. She was predeceased by her parents and many loving Aunts and Uncles who will be waiting for her. A special thanks from the family to the group of angels called nurses, especially Caitlyn and Jennifer, at Backus hospital. Calling hours are Tuesday 4:00 - 7:00 at Dougherty Funeral Home in Plainfield, CT. Burial will be private.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in Marilyn's name, towards a food truck to feed the homeless through the Lighthouse Church of Plainfield c/o Lane Lavender, 33 Plainfield Pike, Plainfield, Ct 06374.
