Barbara Beveridge

May 28, 1922 - January 4, 2015

BEVERIDGE, Barbara . It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Barbara Beveridge on January 4, 2015. Predeceased by John her loving husband of 59 years. Mom will be dearly remembered by her sons and their families, Chris (Marnie) and George (Laurie), grandchildren Kent (Nancy), Devon (Sean) Kennedy and Bryan, Lindsay and Ashley, great-grandchildren Claire and Griffin, Jack and Lucy. Also sadly missed by Mom's sister Ruth Bolton and her family. Born in Vancouver May 28, 1922 and moved to West Vancouver in 1949 with John where they lived in their only home for the next 65 years. Barb was very active her whole life with many activities, especially tennis with West Vancouver Tennis Club and her gardening. She was also a very talented artist and for many years was involved in the Yellow Door Studio. Forty-three years on Mayne Island was one of Barb's most beloved memories spending weekends with family and friends, which included all the activities the Gulf Islands have to offer. A family gathering was held to celebrate Barb's wonderful life filled with many memories. We are very grateful for all the compassionate care Mom received from Joan, Connie and Zennie, over the past 10 years. Thank you to Dr. Wayne Smith for many years of support and kindness.
