William Adams Obituary

Born on June 25, 1942, in North Vancouver, BC, where Bill resided his entire life. Bill passed away on August 11, 2015, following a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents, Marjorie and Harry, and his twin sister Ellen (Lloyd). Survived by his devoted wife Linda of 48 years; his loving daughter Corey; sister Lynn (Nicolson); Brother-in-laws, Sister-in-laws, nephews and nieces of the Lloyd, Nicolson, Snow, and Verhaeghe families; best buddy Bob Haddon Sr.; and many friends.

He commenced his career with cablevision in 1965. While employed in the cable industry, he attended 3 years at UBC to expand his opportunities, earning a degree in Marketing and Sales Management. Bill worked in many different capacities within the industry until his retirement in 2008. Bill was very adventurous; always pushing the boundaries; and living life to its fullest. With a larger than life personality, Bill's jokes and sense of humor will forever be in our memories. Bill was a member of the Vancouver Water Ski Club for over fifty years, where he devoted his time and passion to the Club; to the participation and development of competitive water skiing, including driving for the BC Summer and Pan Am Games and other sanctioned tournaments. Water skiing was his life, and the Vancouver Water Ski Club and its members was and will always be his second home and family. Passion for travel included only one destination.....Hawaii. Bill took many trips with his wife and daughter to Waikiki where there was only one time to hit the beach; only one route to get to the beach; and only one special tree to sit under.

Bill was dearly loved and will be sadly missed. His passing leaves emptiness now filled with the cherished memories of those lives he touched. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Holiday Inn (700 Old Lillooet Rd, North Vancouver) on Saturday September 5, 2015, 12pm to 3pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Bill's name to the BC Cancer Society or donate blood to the Canadian Blood Services in memory of his sister Ellen (INHO 140367).

When love is lost, do not bow your head in sadness; instead keep your head up high and gaze into heaven for that is where your broken heart has been sent to heal. Big hugs to the family during this time xo
