Connie Dendy Obituary
Connie Jean Blakely Dendy, 71, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Winchester Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 2 PM at Front Royal Church of the Nazarene, 1107 Monroe Avenue, Front Royal with Pastor Steve Guizar, Pastor Sam Blakely and Joshua Lauder officiating. Live streaming will be available through the church Facebook page which can be accessed at www.frontroyalnaz.com.
Ms. Dendy was born on July 31, 1949 in Warren County, Virginia to the late James Vance Blakely Sr. and Refa Frances Flick Blakely. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Blakely Jr. and Paul Blakely and her sister, Helen Jenkins.
She was an active member of Front Royal Church of the Nazarene and a graduate of Warren County High School. She most recently worked as a security guard for RAC security in Front Royal. Connie will forever be remembered for her love of God, family and friends, for her laughter and for her ability to tell stories to both the young and the old.
Survivors include her two step sons, Donnie Roop of Front Royal and Josh Roop of Hagerstown, Maryland; two brothers, Pastor Sam Blakely of Michigan and Hank Blakely of Front Royal; six sisters, Lil Eshelman, Barbara Weatherholt, Brenda Siegert and Karen Lauder all of Front Royal, Linda Santmyers of Strasburg, Virginia and Mary Cunningham of Rileyville, Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Front Royal Church of the Nazarene, 1107 Monroe Avenue, Front Royal, Virginia 22630.
Arrangements are being handled by Maddox Funeral Home, Front Royal, Virginia.

I just found out today about Connie. I met her or Blue Mountain at the lake when she was doing security. We spent many an hour chit-chatting from car to car. I found her to be spunky and kind and Unforgettable. Truly upset but blessed to have met her. God bless other for family and know that someone is crying over her right now.
