Darrell Lee Hepner, 56, of Franklin, TN, went to be with the Lord February 27, 2018 in Nashville, TN after a long illness, while surrounded by his family.

Darrell was born April 28, 1961 in Woodstock, VA, a son of the late Samuel Hepner and Loretta Whittington (Hepner) Moore.

Surviving relatives are grandmother, Katie Whittington; brothers, Michael Hepner of Miramar Beach, FL and Charlie Hepner (Tracy) of Franklin, TN; nieces, Kristin, Lauren, Madison, Jayden, Jordan, Camryn, and Jensen Hepner; aunts, Linda Haun and Sandra Click; uncles, Pete Whittington and James Allen Hepner; and numerous cousins.

Darrell was known to many as "Uncle" or "Uncle Darrell". His infectious smile and his joyful laughter were contagious. His obvious love for his nieces was so evident to those who knew him.

We will always carry your memory in our hearts Darrell.

A Celebration of Life will be held June 9, 2018 at 2 p.m at Heishman Funeral Home Services, Valley Funeral Home Branch located at 14116 S. Middle Road Edinburg, VA 22824.

What sad news. I remember all the fun we had on the farm when we were young. My mother used to pick him up and take us to work. We were "Rocco inmates". A lot of good memories.
