Mary Moore Krause Blaisdell, 96, of Flint Hill, Virginia passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Skyline Terrace Nursing Home in Woodstock, Virginia.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 11 AM at Rock Hill Farm Cemetery in Flint Hill, Virginia with Sammy Campbell officiating.

Mrs. Blaisdell was born on January 13, 1924 in Flint Hill, Virginia to the late John Robert Moore II and Mary Leona Printz Moore. She was also preceded in death by her son, Walter E. Krause Jr.; first husband, Walter E. Krause Sr; second husband, John Blaisdell; four brothers, John R. Moore III, William A. Moore, Louis P. Moore Sr. and Charles J. Moore; her sister, Nancy Moore Dearing and her cat, Pokey.

She retired from BB&T Bank after working over thirty years, she was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church and a charter and lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Flint Hill Fire Company. She was a member of the Front Royal Lioness for 26 years and she served for the United States Navy during World War II.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Sue P. Krause; grandchildren, Kimberly Krause Darr and Walter E. Krause III; great grandsons, Larry "Trey" Darr III and Lucas Krause; great great grandson, Bryson Darr and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Flint Hill Baptist Church, PO Box 2, Flint Hill, Virginia 22627 or to Flint Hill Fire Company, PO Box 150, Flint Hill, Virginia 22627.

Arrangements are being handled by Maddox Funeral Home, Front Royal, Virginia.

Sue and family, We are so sorry to get the news about Mary may she rest in peace. I remember Mary standing at the Church door watching for all of us kids on Sunday morning. She always had something nice to say to us. Fondly, Ginger Russell Kidwell
