McHENRY – Ted H A Voel-Pel III, of McHenry, formerly of Des Plaines, died Monday, March 8, 2010, in his home. He had been ill for a while.
He was born Nov. 16, 1960, in Chicago, then lived in Des Plaines for many years. He worked for many years at Electro Insulation in Arlington Heights as a warehouse manager.
His greatest love was his children. He was an inspired musician who played for many years in local rock bands in the northwest suburbs. He was a truly talented musician and song writer. He never gave up on his dreams.
He is survived by his two children, Justin Voel-Pel and Jeremy Voel-Pel of Crystal Lake; his brothers Curtis (Pat) Voel-Pel of Crystal Lake and Guy Voel-Pel of Plainfield; his nephew, Derek; and his niece, Kirsten Voel-Pel.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine (Gotter) and his father, Ted.
Contributions in honor of his death may be made to the family for college expenses for his two sons in care of Curtis Voel-Pel, 6705 Rhode Island Trail, Crystal Lake IL 60012.
