I extend my sympathy to the entire family. I always enjoyed conversing with Mr. Sus when he attended the St. Michael Archangel National Catholic Church weekly fish fry in Cedar Lake. We often spoke of mutual friends and acquaintances as well as our memories of the "South Side" neighborhood in East Chicago. I will certainly miss seeing him - he was a wonderful gentleman.

Joe was a colleague at the U.S. Probation Office in Hammond and he was a mentor and a friend. I will always remember his smile and his positive approach to his work and to life in general. And Joe was a man of faith, who, as it says in I Timothy 6:12, he fought the good fight and laid hold on eternal life. My thoughts and prayers are with Melanie and all the family and friends.
