CHARLES P. PACURAR "CHARLIE TUNA" EAST CHICAGO, IN Charles P. "Charlie Tuna" Pacurar, age 76 of East Chicago, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012. He is survived by his stepson, David Richardson; brother, John (Lana) Pacurar; sister, Mary Malick; brother- in-law, Jim Barbar; nieces and nephews; dear friend and caregiver, Lisa Willis; special friends: Mickey Lopez, Karla Tinnish, and Ed Bittner. Preceded in death by wife, Patricia Pacurar; parents: Dan and Katie Pacurar; brother, Dan Pacurar; and sisters: Eleanore Kendall and Katie Barbar. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN from 3:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2012. American Legion will post colors Friday at 6:00 p.m. Private cremation. Msgr. John J. Siekierski will hold services at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Charlie retired from the City of East Chicago where he was City Controller, City Clerk, Interim Mayor, and various other positions. He also was a manager at Prudential Insurance Company and a U.S. Coast Guard veteran. In lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite charity would be appreciated.
