DOROTHY LOUISE MURPHY VALPARAISO, IN Dorothy Louise Murphy, age 84 of Valparaiso, IN passed away at home surrounded by her family on November 15th, 2014. She was born on March 5th, 1930 in Landenburg, PA to Howard and Naomi (McComsey) Faulkner who preceded her in death. Dorothy is survived by her daughters: Sheila Pera of Valparaiso, Theresa (Charles May) Quinn of Leesburg, FL, Eileen Spencer of New Buffalo, MI, Patricia Quinn of Merrillville; sisters: Ruth Crossan of Kaolin, PA, Mildred (Howard) Volk of Mary Ester, FL; grandchildren: James Kriner, Judith Wallace, Sharon Jackson, Megan Ternes, Rebecca Ternes, Ryan Ternes, Jennifer Burkett, Jessica Pera and Sean Pera; nine great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, James Francis Quinn, and Donald Ray Murphy; her brother, Harry Faulkner; and brother in law, Dave Crossan. Dorothy was a wonderful person and mother. She previously worked as a nurse's aide and dietary technician. She loved cooking and arts and crafts, especially beaded ornaments. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 19th, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368, with Rev. Scott Jones officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18th, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, IN.
