SHIRLEY JEAN DRAYTON
Shirley Jean Drayton (affectionately called, "Auntie Shirley") was born in Columbia, Mississippi to the late Leroy and Goldie Jefferson. Shirley was employed by St. Catherine Hospital throughout high school and after graduation she worked as a Medical Laboratory Technician for several years. Shirley confessed her life to Christ at an early age at Macedonia Baptist Church in East Chicago, until she moved overseas. She is currently a member at St. Timothy Community Church. Shirley is preceded in death by parents, daughter, Pilar Yvette and brother, George Ben Jefferson. She leaves to cherish her legacy and memory, her devoted husband Robert Drayton Sr., four siblings: Sara Patricia Jefferson, Lela Mounia, Ronald Jefferson, and Brenda Comer; five sons: Jeffery Patton, Terrence (Pattrice) Drayton, Mark (Cynthia) Drayton, Gregory (Linda) Drayton, and Robert LaShay (Piccola) Drayton, beloved grandson, Max of Las Vegas NV and a host of other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers-in-law: Zeke (Linda) Drayton Jr., Nathaniel (Mary) Drayton, Larry Drayton, and three sisters-in-law: Claudia Drayton, Melvin Drayton and Irene Hodge and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 9:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. and family hour 10:00 a.m. -11:00a.m. The funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. all at the St. Timothy Community Church, 1600 W. 25th Ave. Officiating Rev. Alfred Johnson. Interment at Concordia Cemetery.
