David L. VanDenburgh David L. VanDenburgh, age 79, passed away on May 15, 2018 He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years and love of his life, Carol J. (Seabloom); his mother, Sylvia R. VanDenburgh (Held) and brother, George W. VanDenburgh.He is survived by his children, Katherine L. VanDenburgh of Indianapolis, IN, Gregory L. VanDenburgh of DeMotte, IN and David M. VanDenburgh (Diana) of Naperville, IL; grandchildren: Gabrielle M. Music (Jake), Martina Ouwens (Don), David M. VanDenburgh II (Kelly), Wade G. VanDenburgh, Molly Cannon, Ben Burba; six great-grandchildren; siblings: Jeffrey E. VanDenburgh (Linda), Paul T. VanDenburgh (Elaine), Leon J. VanDenburgh (Charlene), Jean A. Eng (Allen), Elaine M. Raker (Wayne); sister-in-law, Phyllis VanDenburgh; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. David was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, also a member of Gary Sportsman Club, Knights of Columbus, Ducks Unlimited, North American Hunting Club and the NRA. He was a graduate of Crown Point High School class of 1957 and received a four year degree from The American College in 1991. David retired as an underwriter for Fortis Insurance and enjoyed hunting and fishing on his property with his many friends and family. David was a loving father, grandfather, and brother and will be greatly missed by his entire family and all who knew him. Visitation for David will be held at BURNS FUNEAL HOME, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN on Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. Final services will be Monday, May 21, 2018 starting with prayers at 9:00 a.m. at BURNS FUNERAL HOME followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. St. Mary's Catholic Church in Crown Point, IN.
