Dorothy Thelma Neff PORTAGE, IN - Dorothy T. Neff (nee Showley) age 99 of Portage, IN went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on May 10, 2018. She was born on March 6, 1919 at Lake Bruce, Indiana to Charles E. and Cora D. Showley. A graduate of Kewanna High School and the International Business College, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Married for sixty-one years to her sweetheart, Robert W. Neff, who preceded her in death. Dorothy is survived by her daughters Rebecca J. Shelton and Barbara L. Neff Caban (John Caban) both of Valparaiso; daughter-in-law, Miriam J. Neff of Kildeer, IL; eight grandchildren: Valerie Hogan (Mark), John Neff (Lori), Charles Neff (Amy), Robert Neff, Jennifer Shelton, Julia Shelton, Jonathan Shelton (Jessica), Jacqueline Pullen (Dave); and seven great grandchildren: Albert Hogan, Edward Hogan, Edmund Hogan, Arianna Shelton, Trey Shelton, Dominik Pullen, and Quinn Pullen. Preceded also in death by her son, Robert C. Neff, son-in-law, Donald C. Shelton, her parents, and brothers DeForrest Showley, Doyal Showley, Sanford Showley, and Curtis Showley. Active in Christian Women's Club and teaching ladies' Bible studies for many years. She was a member of Liberty Bible Church in Chesterton and Liberty's daughter church, Family Bible Church in Portage. Her desire throughout her life was to serve her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, which she did faithfully. Visitation will take place on May 14, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at MOELLER FUNERAL HOME; visitation will also take place on May 15, at 10:00 a.m. prior to celebration service at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Bible Church.
