Lawrence "Larry" Koczur LOWELL, IN - Lawrence "Larry" Koczur 71, of Lowell, IN, passed away Sunday, November, 19, 2017. He is survived by his daughter, Krista (Scott) Staley; grandsons, Alex and Noah; his wife, Peggy MallettKoczur and her children, Eric (Julie) Widstrand, Mark (Carie) Widstrand, Julie (Mike) Knazur and grandchildren, Siena, Amanda, Ashley, Andrew, Dominick, Sophie, Alayna, Liam. He also leaves behind his sister Monica (Bill) Ference; step brother, Greg (Diane) Hovan; step sister, Cynthia Hilista and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Ann Koczur Hovan and Walter Koczur and wife, Connie Koczur. Larry is a retired machinist from ArcelorMittal Steel and a Vietnam Army veteran. He was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church, the Clock Club and Fitness Point. Larry was a true craftsman enjoying woodworking and making knives. He could also fix anything including old cars. Larry also spent time clay pigeon shooting and fishing. Visitation, Friday November 24, 2017 from 3:00-7:00 PM at SHEETS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 604 E. Commercial Ave., Lowell, IN. Funeral Mass, Saturday, 11:00 AM, at St. Edward Church, 216 S. Nichols St, Lowell, IN. Cremation will follow services with burial at a later date.
