Richard B Skievaski CEDAR LAKE, IN-Richard B Skievaski, age 82, of Cedar Lake passed away February 8, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marilyn; children: Debra (nee Wozniczka) (Robert) Phelps, and Derek (Traci) Skievaski; grandchildren: Aaron, Brandon, Ryan, Taylor and Savannah; four great-grandchildren; sister, Myra (Robert) Frappier; and brother, Robert (Roselinde) Skievaski. Friends may greet the family on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at BURDAN FUNERAL HOME, 12901 Wicker Ave. (corner of US 41 and 129th Ave.) Cedar Lake. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at St. Timothy Episcopal Church, 1115 N. Cline Ave., Griffith with Mother Michelle Walker, officiating. Richard was an avid bowler. At 17, he left the Philippines to join the US Army, where he served for six years. Richard retired from Inland Steel. He was a member of the American Legion and the Freemasons. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
