Mercy Hospital had a Remembrance Service on the one year anniversary. We brought flowers and those flowers helped staff recognize that we were family. Staff came out and talked to us and told us wonderful stories about Dayna. They personally walked us to the service. Dayna, you were very special to them and I saw framed pictures of you in their offices. You will be forever in their hearts and prayers..... as you will be in ours.

Losing someone you love in an instant can feel so unreal, and realistically, nothing will completely erase the pain. But accepting support from family and friends and doing positive things will help you get through the rough times ahead- Ecclesiastes 5:20.

The first blizzard of 2018 will forever stay in my heart. And every first snow after that will forever remind me of Dayna. This year's snow was exceptionally beautiful...clinging to the trees to create a winter wonderland that lasted for days. Dayna, you are more beautiful than that first snow you loved. Your spirit will be in our hearts forever by remembering you for so many reasons.....as we see the first snow falling.

I did not know Dayna but I have read her story. As a current pharmacist and former pharmacy resident, I can see the passion she had for pharmacy and for her patients. It is truly an inspiration and there is no doubt the impact that Dayna made during her short time as a pharmacist. The pharmacy community has lost a bright soul. My deepest sympathies to your family, friends, and community -- rest easy Dayna.

Dear Less Family and Adam,
I am so sorry for your loss. Dayna and I graduated pharmacy school together-- and I had the pleasure of sitting in the same row as her for 3 years. She was always such an encouragement during class-- able to make anyone laugh when we were feeling anxious. (For some reason pharmacy students can carry a good amount of stress).
One of my fondest memories of Dayna came around the time we were about to head off to rotations. We were all nervous about getting jobs and she starting listing off all her positive qualities that made her employable-- such as her smile, being a team player, showing up on time. Anyways, I was laughing so hard I was basically in tears. She made something so daunting as getting a job humorous and light-hearted. I loved being around her and am grateful for the time I had with her. She also gave me some amazing podcast recommendations. During midyear, she shared her wine with me. She was always generous.
You all are in my prayers daily-- begging God to bring comfort in the midst of absolute tragedy and peace to carry you through.

Although I have known Teena over 50 years, I first met dear, sweet Dayna when she was one of my young campers at St. Sava camp in Libertyville. She was a delightful and kind little girl and so adorable with her corn rows and beads. She made a lasting impression on all who knew her. My heart grieves for your loss. I can only think that God needed a very special angel and chose Dayna for that task. Her faith was strong and I have no doubt that her light is now shining bright in Heaven. My heartfelt condolences to all of you. Vjecnaja Pamjat dear Dayna.
