GWENN ILIC NEE ANDERSEN Gwenn Ilic (nee Andersen), age 65, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 18, 2013. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Ronald (Branko) Ilic; sons: Jerry (fiancé, Christine), Greg (Jessica) and Randy (Samantha); grandchildren: Aidan, Ethan, Keegan and Lily; sisters: Michele Andersen (son, Brad) and Marie (Dwight) Slovek, both residing in South Dakota; numerous nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Jennie McClain. Gwenn was preceded in death by her sister, Sherry (Pete) Metz; brother, Steve Andersen; and parents: Carl Andersen and Marjorie Richey Andersen. Gwenn attended Highland High School and graduated from Crete High School. She was an excellent wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed reading, gardening and her grandchildren. Gwenn was a faithful Christian and touched many lives in positive ways and always displayed strength and grace. She was a shining example to all who knew her and will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 7:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory, 14 Kennedy Ave. (corner of Main and Kennedy), Schererville with Pastor Drew Brown officiating. Cremation at Solan Pruzin to follow. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 3:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Hospice of the Calumet Area, 600 Superior Ave., Munster, IN 46321.
