RICHARD POLING Obituary
Richard M. "Dick" Poling of Crown Point, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2015 in his home of 52 years. He was a member of the Merrillville High School graduating class of 1955 and 39 year employee of NIPSCO, retiring in 1994 to enjoy hobbies such as golf, gardening and spending time with family. Dick is survived by his wife of 58 years, April; his sons Richard (Rebecca) of Dallas, Texas, and Robert of Crown Point, his daughter Nancy (Joshua) Treadway of St. Augustine, FL; sisters: Theresa (Richard) Lines of Crown Point and Genevieve (Dwight) Curl of Braselton, GA; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. An open house to celebrate Dick's life will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Lemon Lake County Park from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. All family and friends are invited to attend. The Poling Family
I just heard about Mr Poling's passing. I know we haven't been in touch in years but Nancy was always one of my best friends. All the nights and days we spent together. Just to let you know I lost my mom and dad. My dad passed on 6/16/12 and mom just died on 3/13/16 at 88. Actually I was lucky to have them that long and they were sick but nothing that held them down until about 3-4 weeks before they passed. I think of you guys and remember all the good times we had together especially in the summertime. I know the loss is something you don't forget but it lessens a little over time. I know they are out of pain. Nancy, I would really like to get in touch with you and hear about your life now. You are in my thoughts.
