The Columbia/Barnard Hillel, Kraft Center for Jewish Student Life, is deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Max Ritvo. We are proud of his accomplishments as a prolific writer, whose poems and essays were widely published, and even more importantly as a human and animal rights activist, and a loving husband, son, and friend. Max received his MFA at Columbia University. We send our deepest condolences to his wife Victoria and to his mother Dr. Ariella Riva Ritvo-Slifka, his father Dr. Edward Ritvo, and his extended family. May his memory continue to be a blessing.
