Dear Mrs. B, Cryder, Townsend and the entire Bancroft family. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you at this very sad and difficult time. I have such fond memories of Mr. Bancroft 1/1/30 and Don Sutherland 1/2/31 (fellow Princetonians), proudly watching their boys, Cryder and Conor, (as older Dad's) as their youngest boys learned to play hockey at Beaver Dam as three year olds. Throughout the academic years of both their sons, they were present and engaged and cheering on at all athletic events at GreenVale, Beaver Dam and as far away as Princeton for early morning games. And then on to Middlesex and Andover. Most recently, ( just two years ago) at Conor's wedding, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit and catch-up with Cryder, who filled me in on how each member of his family was doing. It has now been ten years since I left Locust Valley, but I will always treasure the many memories and the special people I came to know and consider friends during my nearly 25 years living there (beginning with the Robertson family.) Mr. Bancroft has left an impressive legacy in each of his children and grand-children, all of whom will continue to carry on his good name and the importance of the love of family (blended) which he exhibited throughout his life. He will be missed by all. Please accept my sincere condolences. Fondly, Connie Rascoe (Conor's long-time Nanny and Elsa's good friend)
