IRENE HAAS-CLARK Obituary

HAAS-CLARK--Irene, of Manhattan, NY, passed away on April 22, 2013, at the age of 83. By her bedside were her children, Jo (Matt) Cohen and Jim Clark. Born and raised in New York, the daughter of Louis and Fifi; protective sister to Alan (Joan); aunt to Ed and Julie (Haas), and very devoted and proud "Grammy" to Marie-Charlotte and Marie-Celeste Clark, Miranda and Mitchell Cohen. Loving wife of 52 years to Philip Clark (deceased, May 2009). Award-winning children's book illustrator/author, admired by and influential to many other artists, and witty and compassionate friend of many more. Memorial Service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Chapel (Madison Ave. and 81st Street) on Friday, April 26th at 11:30am, with a Shiva immediately afterwards at 351 East 84th St., Apt 11E.
