DEENA STARR Obituary

STARR--Deena (Nathanson), peacefully at home, on March 27, 2014. A daughter of the late Ziporah and Moshe Nathanson, Cantor Emeritus at the SAJ in Manhattan, she was an alumnus of the High School of Music and Art and City College and worked for Seventeen Magazine. She is survived by her devoted and beloved husband Jay Starr, twin sister Nomi Brettler, several nieces and nephews and many adoring friends around the world. She was predeceased by her children, Neva and Adam Starr, her niece Kim Nathanson and her brother Yaron (Gary) Nathanson. Graveside services on Monday, March 31, 2014, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hawthorne New York at 11:00am. Family will receive at home on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 1pm to 7pm.
