Wow.... I am just so saddened to read this. I thought I´d look your name up. Thinking you were enjoying retirement with your family..... Gone WAY TOO SOON! I watched guiding light when I was in high school and had a huge crush on you! I adored the romantic relationship you and Kim Zimmer ( Reva) had. Then when you left guiding light you went to, All my Children. So I started watching that soap opera ONLY because you were in it. You and Susan Lucci had a romantic relationship but NOTHING like you did with Reva. ( my opinion) As I have read sone of the tributes made to you. I have always loved Larkin since I was 11, and I used to watch The Guiding Light everyday after school. I loved him with Kim Zimmer. He was a phenomenal actor.. he and Kim were my favorite couple. They were magical together. May you rest in peace Larkin Malloy. You are missed by many. Gone too soon

I cried my eyes out when The Edge of Night came to any end. I was in England but I taped it and was distraught that a cousin had taped over it. Beta Max! I met you at a mall appearance and was so thrilled to speak with you. I am 75 now and remember it as clear as day! Love you!

I loved Larkin Malloy as GUIDING LIGHT's Kyle Sampson. His chemistry with Kim Zimmer was palpable & he was so sexy in that role. Whenever I hear Kenny Loggins' FOREVER, I always think of Kyle & Reva together, as that song seemed to be playing in the background whenever they had a scene. I suppose that, to me, Kenny Loggins' FOREVER is Kyle & Reva's theme song, and I will always think of them whenever I hear it. To die on your birthday...there has to be some warped karmic Irish logic in that; but I don't know what it is. I will miss Larkin Malloy very much & yet I am happy to have the memories of his GL tenure. May you rest well now, Larkin...your job is done.

I am saddened to hear that Larkin Malloy has transitioned from this earth. He was an excellent actor . The Edge of Night, All My Children and The Guiding Light were better shows because he was a cast member. He played Kyle Sampson on The Guiding Light and changed the dynamics of the show. Larkin and Kim Zimmer were the ultimate super couple on the soap opera Kyle and Reva. He will be missed by many, many fans around the country.

It was, only, a month ago, that The Edge of Night fans had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to speak to Sharon Gabet and Larkin Malloy. We laughed and reminisced, and both feel that their time, on the show, was the highlight of their careers. The love and chemistry that Sharon and Larkin, displayed on screen, was evident, off stage, and has continued, for lo, these many years. Sharon and her nightly Facebook 'Edgies,' are devastated, at this loss. We love and respect you, Larkin, and express our deepest condolences, to your immediate family and friends. May God Bless you.

My sadness seems to continue on the heels of the recent passing of Agnes Nixon, now Agnes has greeted Larkin Malloy to the heavenly company ofellow soap stars, it looks like even God needs some enrertainment, calling in soap opera stars, writers, musicians, and many others to join in His Presence. I missed Mr. Malloy when he left All My Children, oh how he tried to tame Erica Kane, a battle royal he just could not win. I am so hurt over Larkin's passing. I was a good friend of his from Park Slope and we used to go to the movies, eat at Nonna Rosa and Sante Fe Grill. I used to walk him home and sometimes drive him. He loved his family and always wore his moms ring and adored his nephews and sister. I am so interested in knowing is you are having a memorial or where is he being buried in NY or Virginia - I think that's where he used to go.
