ROSENTHAL--Barbara, left this world too soon. She died suddenly on March 3rd while traveling in pursuit of one of her many passions - the opera. She loved art, ballet, the opera (especially Wagner's Ring Cycle), good food, fine wine and the entire animal kingdom. She is survived by loving cousins, dear friend, Judy Wolfe, her beautiful cat, Chaplin and step-dog, Benny. A celebration of Barbara's rich life will be held at 2pm, Sunday, April 10th at "The Riverside" 76th and Amsterdam. Donations can be made to the Central Park Zoo's Horticulture Department in her name.

Barb was an old school chum and next door neighbor, we both loved animals . and my nanny who had a farm bought us to hens and i had a garage and we built a make shift pen and kept them in there and then we would take them for a walk we lived in the city. Picture it so funny. Im sure she did a lot for the animals in N.Y. I will miss her.

I knew Barbara from working at CPZ years ago. She was one of my favorite docents to hang with. I can still see her smile and hear her laughter. - Elena Dunn (NY)

I went to the opera today. I thought of you. So glad I met you.
