STERN--Daniel N., MD. November 12, 2012. It is with great sadness that we mourn the death of our beloved Dan Stern: the leader, originator and inspiration of the Watermill Art and Science Workshop. Dan died this morning in Geneva, Switzerland, much loved and peaceful, surrounded by his wife Nadia, his children and grandchildren. Dan's playful intelligence and imagination, his enormous command of fields including psychiatry, dance, neuro-science, music, psychoanalysis and developmental theory, and his boundless intellect inspired our group of artists and scientists, performers, researchers and clinicians, to explore consciousness. His wisdom, energy and joy in discovering new frontiers of the mind will be greatly missed. Our love holds Nadia close and we send our heartfelt condolences to the entire family.
