Dorothy, you worked so hard, too often alone, to pave the road that led our newly elected Vice President Kamala Harris to the White House in these difficult times. Remembering your independent legacy.

Many memories of Dorothy Oliver. She was a helpful and dedicated friend to me and my family and I remember her advice when I was a new mother. she adored my daughter, Morgan. Peace and Blessings to the Oliver Family. May we be a drum major and reflect her enthusiasm for peace and justice in our lives going forward. She will be missed. Love.

It was a pleasure to know Dorothy as we shared our experiences meeting the challenges of equal education in public schools for all children and the need for constant vigilance for social change and Civil Rights gains. She was President Obama's number one fan..and worked tirelessly to get everyone to exercise their right to vote. Furthermore, along with all this hard work, she collected and developed some fabulous recipes in her kitchen. Dorothy, I hardly knew you...but I will miss you being in this world.
