FLYNN--Edward "Pat",

87, a resident of Carmel, NY and New York, NY, passed away in peace on November 26, 2017. He was born January 7, 1930, in New York, NY to parents Helen J. Flynn and Edward J. Flynn, the storied political leader of the Bronx and former Chairman of the Democratic National Committee. Pat graduated from Canterbury School in 1947 and Brown University in 1951. He was a proud Marine, served in Korea, bred Black Angus cattle and made a career in real estate. He was an ocean sailboat racer, a polo player and a lifelong traveler who spent several months each year at his home in France. Pat is survived by his five children: Edward J. Flynn, Helen C. Flynn, Robin Flynn Wagner, Dorian Flynn Fuhrman, Patrick C. Flynn; sons- in-law Thomas Wagner and Gary Fuhrman, eight grandchildren, one great- grandchild, and his brother Richard M. Flynn and sister Sheila Flynn DeCosse and their families. And, finally, Pat leaves behind his beloved partner of 30 years, Toni Ausnit Flynn, and her son, Peter Ausnit. A memorial service will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac, NY on December 7 at 10 am, with reception to follow.
