FELSHER--Elaine, nee Vejans, passed away peacefully at home on June 16th after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born in Texas in 1926, and after graduating the University of Texas, came to New York at the age of twenty. A beautiful woman with a lovely singing voice Elaine performed in many church and other choirs. In 1950 she married Howard Felsher, a successful TV producer. Their son Andrew was born in 1958. Elaine was an archivist for many years at Time Inc., then accompanied her husband to California in the early l970's. Divorced soon after she returned to New York in l980, she rejoined Time Inc., and as chief archivist enjoyed an exceptional reputation for her thoughtful, penetrating oral histories. She lived happily for 18 years with Ivin Mann, a respected accountant who also was president of Fountain House, and predeceased her. Elaine is survived by her ex-husband Howard, son Andrew, his caring wife Sharon, two adored grandchildren, Cameron and Olivia and wonderful step-grandchildren, Justin, Janae and Julianne Moffet.
