George Tomal

TOMAL--George, one of New Jersey Ballets founding directors, passed away on February 11 after a long illness. He was 83. Tomal danced with American Ballet Theatre, Roland Petits Ballet, Igor Schwezoffs Ballet Concerts Company and New Jersey Ballet. He choreographed more than 100 dance works for NJB including 16 operas and the company's production of Nutcracker, now in its 38th season. Mr. Tomal leaves a brother, Carl, sisterin-law Rose and niece Ann Marie, all of Chicago. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to New Jersey Ballet, 15 Microlab Road, Livingston, NJ 07039.
