GERSTEN--Gerry, 89, of Ridgefield, CT, passed away on January 12th, 2017 after a long battle with Parkinson's. Born on October 17, 1927 in New York City, he studied at Cooper Union before gaining international acclaim as a caricaturist, drawing hundreds of illustrations for The New York Times, New York Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Time, Newsweek, Esquire, Playboy, Rolling Stone and MAD. His powerful line drawings have received a myriad of awards. He was funny, gentle and kind and will be sorely missed. Gerry is survived by his daughter Jill Gersten-Reitman, his two grandchildren and his sister Hedy O'beil. Hawthorne Funeral Home, 21 West Stevens Ave.,
