HAMLIN--Joanne Capen, on August 11, 2009. Wife of the late George Hamlin, Jr., mother of Jeffrey Hamlin, grandmother of James Hamlin. Many will remember Joanne as an actor, others as a high school and Sunday school teacher and others as a writer. All who knew her will remember Joanne's remarkable capacity for friendship, her interest in and support of all those she knew as well as her spirited and inquisitive nature. In a role she performed to great acclaim, Winnie, in Samuel Beckett's Happy Days, captures Joanne's essence when she says "That's what I find so wonderful that not a day goes by-to speak in the old style-hardly a day, without some disguise." God speed Joanne and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.
