LEON ROCK

ROCK--Leon. Far Hills, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Mildred Glogover Rock; loving father of Steven of Marlboro, NJ; Jan Rock Zubrow of Far Hills, NJ and Barbara Goldman of Scarsdale, NY. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Matthew and Spencer Zubrow, Aaron and Jonathan Goldman and Benjamin Rock. Leon was born December 1, 1927 in Bronx, NY. He attended City College of New York and the Harvard Law School. For over 50 years he was a practicing attorney in New York, as well as the author of Preparation and Pursuance of Civil Litigation. Leon was an ardent student of history, quick to research the details of any discussion topic. He was also a life long supporter of the State of Israel, imbuing in his children the importance of the Jewish homeland. In addition, Leon was an active New York Yankees fan and gourmet of all traditional Jewish foods. The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 2 at 11:30am at Wien and Wien Memorial Chapels, 402 Park St., Hackensack, NJ followed by a graveside service at Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Ave., Paramus, NJ.
