WUNDERMAN--Lester. Loving husband, father, and grandfather, Lester Wunderman passed away on January 9, 2019 at age 98. Chairman Emeritus and Founder of Wunderman, the first and largest direct marketing agency, he was widely regarded as "the Father of Direct Marketing." A global traveler, his interests extended into many other areas including the art of the Dogon tribe of Mali and photography. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Suzanne Cott Wunderman, son Marc Wunderman, daughter Karen Wunderman Cusworth, stepsons James, Thomas, and Patrick Cott, and six grandchildren. No funeral service will be held; the family asks that any contributions in Lester's name be made to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Department of African Art.
