Blech. April 26, 1932 - March 18, 2018. Devoted Daughter of Bertha and Jacob Blech, Sister of Bennett (Buddy) and Judy. Loving Wife of Leo, Beloved Mother of Paul and Mark, and by her grandchildren, Carly and Ben. Lois was born in Hartford, CT and grew up in Springfield, MA. She graduated from Tufts College with a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy. She subsequently received a Master's Degree in Special Education and taught disabled children at St. Agnes Hospital in White Plains and then in the New York City School System in the Bronx. Lois was an outstanding teacher. She was a resident of Armonk, NY for 25 years and then of Wilton, CT for 20 years. For the past three years, she had lived with her husband, Leo in Pennsylvania at Freedom Village. She was very active in community organizations, most notable with Amnesty International. She was a wonderful person, full of sweetness, love, patience and understanding. She was adored by her whole family, including many cousins, nieces and nephews, and all her friends. Lois holds a very special place in all our hearts. We miss her so very much. In lieu of sending flowers, the family requests that donations in the memory of Lois be made to Amnesty International.
