LOCRICCHIO--Matthew, 71, cookbook author and actor, passed away at home on January 9, 2019, in the Riverdale section of the Bronx. Born in Detroit to Virginia (Furnari) Locricchio and Paul Locricchio, he is survived by his husband, Richard Farley; his sister, Joanne Locricchio, and his brothers, Anthony and Paul. A third brother, Joseph, predeceased him. Survivors also include loving nieces, nephews, their spouses and their children. His family and many friends will miss his warmth, his creativity, and his boundless energy. Matthew grew up in St. Clair Shores, MI. He studied at Eastern Michigan University and later trained as an actor at the American Conservatory Theater. He performed at the Magic Theater in San Francisco, the Public Theater in New York City, Yale Repertory Theatre, and regional theaters. He also appeared in film, television, and commercials. He later devoted his time to writing cookbooks for young chefs, winning various awards. Teen Cuisine: New Vegetarian was named Best Cookbook for Children, Youth & Families in 2013 by the International Association of Culinary Professionals. Visiting hours at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel, 1076 Madison Avenue, New York, NY will be from 2pm-4pm and from 7pm-9pm on Tuesday, January 15th. The Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of St. Thomas More, 65 E. 89th Street, New York, NY at 10:30am on Wednesday, January 16th. Suggested donations in lieu of flowers may be made to or your Local Public Library.
