The Board and staff of NRDC mourn the loss of Nathaniel Reed, environmental crusader and passionate conservationist who served as a trustee of NRDC for 22 years. Nat was relentless in his fight to protect our nation's natural heritage. He played a pivotal role in passing landmark environmental legislation, such as the Endangered Species Act, in addition to conserving our nation's irreplaceable wild places, including the Everglades. We will forever remain honored to be a part of his remarkable legacy, which lives on all around us. Our deepest sympathies go out to his beloved wife, Alita, his children, and all who had the privilege to call him a friend. Alan Horn, Board Chair; Rhea Suh, NRDC President; John H. Adams, Trustee & Founding Director
