OLIVER EDWARDS Obituary
of St. James, NY, on September 30, age 72. A graduate of Groton, Yale and Fordham Law School, Ollie was a partner at the law firm of Holland and Knight in New York City for many years. He was semi- retired, working at the firm of Becker and Poliakoff, when he became ill with cancer. Ollie loved travel, fishing, gardening, his friends and his family, to whom he was devoted. He leaves behind his widow, Anita Schubeler Edwards, his daughter, Margaret Kate Edwards Epstein, his son Oliver Edwards VII, and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church in St. James on October 13, 2018.

I am saddened to learn of Ollie's passing. He was a true gentleman who brilliantly cooked for (without electricity!) and housed a group of his law firm colleague refugees from a mighty blackout in New York. He is missed by his friend and once-partner in Austria.

At Yale Ollie and I shared many, many memorable experiences from rowing in tandem during many a Heavyweight Rowing race to racing to escape the police during a frat boys night-out in Poughkeepsie. Although we lost track of each other l will miss him and he will be well-remembered.
