HEIDE--Paul H. Born in the Bronx on May 30th, 1925, he died peacefully in his sleep on August 3, 2018. After graduating with honors from Evander Childs High School in June 1942, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps in July 1943, where he rose to First Lt. as a Flight Officer and Journalist for a squadron that saw action in the South Pacific, followed by occupation duty in Japan. First married in 1943, his daughter Stacie was born in 1952. He inherited a wholesale shoe findings business from his father and built sales to almost $2 million before moving to a national sales challenge. He retired to Florida, playing tennis and bridge for many years, the latter to bronze life master status. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie, to whom he was happily married for over 50 years; daughter, Stacie (Bernstein); son-in-law, Robert Bernstein; grandson, Matthew, Esq.; step- daughters, Margaret Tally (husband, William), and their children, Lila and Serena and Lisa Gordon (husband, Tom) and their children, Jack and Molly.
