We join the entire Williamsburg, Brooklyn community in mourning the passing of Ramon Raimundi, who, starting over 50 years ago, was among the leaders in the struggle for community control and improvement of the neighborhood's schools, and thereafter with numerous other leadership roles in supporting and improving the neighborhood, the borough, and the City. Ramon was 86 years old when he died on November 29th; his funeral was on Monday, December 4th. May he rest in peace and continue to be a model for us all.
