WITTREICH--Ronald A., 91, of Englewood, NJ, on December 3, 2017 after a brief illness. Upon graduating from Tenafly High School in 1944, Ron enlisted in the Navy where he served for the duration of WW2. Ron graduated from Princeton University, Class of 1950 where he was an All- American in the mile, and captain of the track team. He often delighted in saying "I beat Roger Bannister 3 out of 4 laps". He attended NYU Law school and was admitted to the New York Bar in 1962. He had a long career in investment banking. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan, his brother Paul of Franklin, PA and predeceased by brother Warren. He had three children by his first wife, Carol Ann Elson: Tracy Wittreich (Jeffrey Gee) of Woodbridge, CT, Cynde Ward of Beverly, MA and Randy Wittreich of Old Tappan, NJ, four grandchildren and two great-grand-children. Interment will be private. Memorial service is planned for January 2018.
