STANLEY TOMCHIN Obituary

TOMCHIN--Stanley, 75, and most recently of Las Vegas, NV, died peacefully in his home on June 1, 2021. Born in Brooklyn and raised in East Meadow, Long Island, Stan was a bridge master, a chess master, and was at one time known as the best backgammon player in the world. Alongside his decades-long games pursuits, he devoted much of his life to both philanthropic and hands-on engagement with teens in both the Core Academy and the Marty Hennessy Inspiring Children Foundation. He is survived by his daughter Emily, his grandchildren Vivian and Wesley, all of New Zealand; and his sister Joy and his nephew Evan, both of New York City.

Stan was the best brother anyone could wish for.
He took care of me my entire life and now my son and I
(I still feel like he
is watching over me!) He adores his daughter, grandchildren and many friends.

Stan, sorry to hear of your passing. I would have enjoyed playing a game or two of backgammon with you.

Stan was a genius as to just about anything that had to do with numbers. He pursued this aptitude to the betterment of those he loved and the causes he supported.
